Dear Everyman Member,

Future Guests

Please find enclosed details of Guests booked for the Everyman between September 2004 and May 2005.  We hope you will enjoy the line up, which includes some old faces, some new, and some who have been before returning in a different guise.  As always, we have tried to achieve a fair mix of traditional and contemporary.  We are also delighted to present guests from Canada and Australia within the year’s programme.

We are very lucky to have Mary Humphries and Anahata as regular Members of the Everyman and it is great that we have them for a full evening in September – hope to see you there!

Benhall Venue

We are really pleased at how well the Everyman has settled in at the Benhall & Sternfield Ex Servicemen’s Club.

For those Members who haven’t made it since our relocation from Saxmundham, directions are: from the A12, turn onto the B1121 (south of Saxmundham) signposted to Saxmundham and Benhall Green.  Take the first right turning, signposted to Benhall Green.  Then take the first left turning (at the school) into School Lane, and you will find The Benhall & Sternfield Ex Servicemen’s Club on your left.

We remain a no-smoking venue (smoking is permitted in the separate bar), the venue has disabled access and a disabled toilet, and there is plenty of car parking.

Advance Tickets

It is really satisfying to be able to hold our ticket prices for another year – tickets are discounted to £4 for advance payment and are otherwise £5 when paid for on the door.  Please find enclosed a couple of booking forms.  Additional forms are always available on Club evenings (and on the web site).

Membership / Public Entertainments Licensing

The saga continues … but does not affect the Everyman, which runs as a Private Members Club at a venue with its own Public Entertainments Licence.   Membership is free, and only requires that your name and address details be recorded on our membership list – which they are if you have received this letter!  (The membership list is not made available to any other parties).

Sponsorship of Recording

Back in March 2003 the Everyman Folk Club sponsored ‘The Foggy Dew’ performed by Dave Fletcher & Bill Whaley on the Song Links CD.  As a Member, you can purchase this double-CD at a significant discount via the Everyman.  Please contact Steve or myself if you would like further details.

Floor Singers

We are always seeking new volunteers for floor spots.  If you would like to perform at the Everyman please don’t be afraid to say so.

We hope you are having a lovely Summer – and look forward to seeing you in the Autumn.

Best wishes,
Mary
