Review - JIB
22/02/19

Wow, such a tremendous evening at the Everyman Folk Club yesterday with JIB – Barrie & Ingrid Temple with Jim Mageean. These three exemplary singers from the North East sang a perfect balance of traditional and contemporary material including many splendid songs written by Barrie. Their glorious harmonies, some with concertina accompaniment, were enriched by their enthralling stage presence and badinage – a most memorable evening.

Thanks to all our admirable floor performers for their part in the evening’s entertainment – Peter Everson, Graham Schofield, Charlie Haylock, Steve Danby, Barry & Joan Irwin, and Capstan Full Strength (Ade, Kieran, Mike, Bec, John & Rob). Well done Peter for your enjoyable Everyman debut!

Undeterred by dense fog, our magnificent audience filled the room – and with great gusto, upheld the club’s reputation for superb chorus singing at every opportunity – thank you all so much. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again on Friday 29 March 2019 when our guests are Dark Horses: Flossie Malavialle & Keith Donnelly.
