Review - Purcell's Polyphonic Party
25/03/16

It was a privilege for us to present the first folk club outing of Purcell’s Polyphonic Party on Friday evening. To hear a nyckelharpa, viola d’amore or spinet played by an accomplished musician is a luxury in itself, but the combination of these three individual instruments (all 107 strings) in the talented hands of Vicki Swan, Jonny Dyer and John Dipper was an unprecedented ensemble that charmed and captivated us all. It certainly was a very Good Friday!

We were also treated to engaging floors spots, from Sheila Seal, Keith & Mary-Jane Tyrell, Bill Johnston, Charlie Haylock, Mike Green and Dave. Many thanks to everyone who performed.

As always, we wish to thank each and every one of our magnificent audience for your commitment to The Everyman and your passion for the songs and music. We’re looking forward to hearing you sing choruses with our guests, The Wilson Family, next time - Friday 29 April.
