Review - Moirai
30/11/18

What an excellent end to the Everyman Folk Club year with Moirai. These three highly skilled musicians - Jo Freya (vocals, saxophones, clarinets, whistles), Melanie Biggs (vocals, melodeon, flute), and Sarah Matthews (vocals, violin, viola, guitar) – were a flawless ensemble, perfectly weaving together their instrumental talents. We were entertained with an imaginative range of songs and beautiful music, presented with poise, panache and playfulness by this delightfully engaging trio.

Thanks to all our terrific floor performers for contributing songs and monologues to the evening: Graham Wadeson, Dave Tricker, Charlie Haylock, John Robinson, Bill Johnston & Sheila Darling, and Rob Neal, Alvar Smith & Derek Simpson.

Thanks too to our amazing audience for being so welcoming to guests and visitors, and for your remarkable and wholehearted chorus singing – you’re the greatest!

We wish you all the very best of the season, and are looking forward to seeing you next year, with Steve Turner as our guest on Friday 25 January 2019.
