Teeside folk legends, The Wilson Family, performed for a sold-out room at the Everyman Folk Club yesterday – and what a tremendous evening it was. The glorious harmonies of Tom, Chris, Steve and Mike benefited from the instinctive understanding of siblings. Songs were interposed with much repartee; always entertaining but never undermining their evident commitment to and love of traditional and contemporary folk song. We said their dynamic and powerful performance would raise the roof. The building is intact – but it’s good to know the decibel-warning system is working!

The evening included splendid floor spots from John Robinson, Jennifer & Mike Tabecki, Gemma Khawaja, Steve Danby, Eammon Andrews, and Terence Blacker. Many thanks to you all.

Our magnificent audience excelled themselves with sensational chorus singing. Thank you one and all for your enthusiasm and participation – and for giving such a warm welcome to our guests and new visitors to the club. Let’s do it again on Friday 24 February 2023 when we’re thrilled to have Bryony Griffiths & Alice Jones as our guests.
