Review - John Kirkpatrick
28/03/14

A phenomenal night at the Everyman Folk Club yesterday with our guest, the superb John Kirkpatrick. The master of all-things-squeezable performed traditional songs and tunes as well as his own brilliant compositions - and we were treated to his party trick of swinging his Anglo concertina around his head to create a Doppler effect when playing Fain I Would.

Many thanks to our impressive floor performers - Christine Jenner, Terence Blacker & Derek Hewitson, Charlie Haylock, and Hare’s Breath (Keith & Mary-Jane Tyrell, Ade Brown and Pete Hughes).

It was fantastic to have such an amazing turnout by our terrific audience – the evening was a sell out! Now we are looking forward to next time – Friday 25 April 2014 with our guests, James Delarre & Saul Rose.
